Hanzhong specialties include: Hanzhong Xianhao, Zhenba bacon, Chenggu tangerine, earth honey, Xixiang beef jerky, Dingjun Mingmei, Songhua shoulder pole, Hanzhong banyan, Hanzhong rice flour and vegetable tofu. Hanzhong, a prefecture-level city in Shaanxi Province, was called Nanzheng, Xingyuan, Liangzhou and Tianhan in ancient times. It was once rated as one of the top ten most beautiful towns in China, and it has been known as "Tianhan" and "the hometown of Han people" since ancient times.
