Bacon is found all over the world where pigs are produced, but it's actually different. Italian bacon is similar to bacon in Central and Western European countries, or similar to Spanish Tochino. There is no fixed practice. According to different regions, there are smoking, spice curing or aging.
It can be eaten raw as a cold dish, or used as a raw material for spaghetti, or added to vegetable soup, stew or kebab.
