The main function of expansion tube in ice cream machine is to improve the expansion rate of ice cream.
There is a small hole in the lower part of the expansion tube. After the slurry is inserted into the discharge nozzle of the water storage tank, it flows into the freezing cylinder through the small hole. This will reduce the speed of the slurry flowing down to the freezing cylinder, so that the slurry and cake have enough time to mix with air and increase the expansion rate of ice cream.
Therefore, if the expansion tube is not inserted, it will only reduce the expansion rate of ice cream without other side effects.
If the ice cream slurry is too thick to flow downward, the expansion tube should be removed to avoid the phenomenon of freezing cylinder due to lack of materials in the freezing cylinder.
