Plantain contains high levels of methyl methyl. If you are deficient in potassium, eating too much will still have an effect. However, if you eat well, you should have enough potassium, so eating it is basically ineffective.
Medicinal value
Plantain and banana belong to the same family and have similar appearances, but the fruits are not edible and have certain medicinal value.

Functions and Indications
1. All swelling and poisoning. Crush banana roots and apply to the affected area.
2. Mobile red rubella. The treatment is the same as above.

How to eat
Before it blooms, pick its pseudostem and peel off the outer skin to get the inner stem like a fluorescent tube. Cut it into thin pieces and you can make: (1) Cold wild plantain heart . (2) Wild plantain heart stew.
Wild plantain
The young stem core of wild plantain is one of the stem wild vegetables commonly eaten by the Dai people. There are two main ways to eat the stem core of wild plantain: stir-fried and pickled. Side dishes fried with plantain stem hearts as the main ingredient include stir-fried plantain hearts with black bean paste and stir-fried plantain hearts with minced meat. To cook these two side dishes, cut the fresh wild plantain stems into slices and soak them in water. Use bamboo chopsticks to stir and wrap the filaments connecting each piece. Then crush the thin slices of the banana stems and stir them with bamboo chopsticks. Wrap in filaments, rinse once, pinch dry and prepare for frying. To stir-fry banana hearts with tempeh, stir-fry the tempeh in a pan until fragrant, then add crushed banana hearts and salt and stir-fry until cooked, then serve on a plate. To stir-fry plantain hearts with minced meat, first stir-fry the plantain hearts in an oil pan until they are five or six times ripe, then add the pre-chopped minced meat and stir-fry until cooked, add salt and MSG, mix well and serve. Fried plantain hearts made with black beans and minced lean meat are delicate and palatable, delicious, and have the effect of removing greasiness and losing weight. It is a unique ethnic food.
