Extended data:

PPAP is a song written, composed and sung by Japanese artist PICO Taro. The single won the Cable Topic Award in Japan Cable Awards. In order to bring jokes to the audience, Japanese comedian Kazuhito Kosaka created a middle-aged uncle character PICO Taro, and released a single PPAP in the name of this fictional character.

PPAP is the abbreviation of "pen-pineapple-Pen". While chatting with his work partner, Kazuhito Kosaka picked up a pen and wrote on a piece of paper. Because his work partner came from the hometown of apples and there were pineapples on the table beside him, Kazuhito Kosaka recorded the three words of Pen, apple and Pineapple, and hummed them at will to complete the work PPAP. PICO Taro used simple melody and lyrics in PPAP, hoping to reflect the profound meaning of world peace, universe and family.
