1. Elevated triglycerides: Lipid-lowering drugs such as ciprofibrate, fenofibrate and gemfibrozil can be used.
2. Elevated cholesterol: Especially for hyperlipidemia with elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, statin lipid-lowering drugs, such as lovastatin and simvastatin, are recommended.
It is suggested that patients should improve their liver function before using fibrates or statins. Use drugs within the permitted range of liver function, and monitor blood lipid and liver function at the same time. Because these two lipid-lowering drugs may lead to the increase of liver function transaminase or muscle enzyme, these two drugs are generally not used at the same time.
