The range of lesions is different: caseous necrosis usually involves a wider range than general coagulative necrosis, and may lead to the destruction of the whole or part of organs. Generally, coagulation necrosis is mainly confined to one organ or tissue.
Macroscopically, the morphology is different: caseous necrosis is yellow, greasy and fragile, because the necrotic tissue is rich in fat and protein. However, general coagulation necrosis presents a gray, dry and solid state.
