Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is located in the Zhongshan Scenic Area at the southern foot of Zijinshan Mountain in Xuanwu District, Nanjing. It is the mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of China's great democratic revolution in modern times, and its affiliated memorial complex. The mausoleum covers an area of over 80,000 square meters. It was started in the spring of 1926 and completed in the summer of 1929. The main buildings are Boai Square, Tomb Road, Mausoleum Gate, Stone Steps, Monument Pavilion, Sacrificial Hall and Tomb, which are arranged on a central axis, reflecting the style of traditional architecture in China. Looking down from the air, it looks like a "liberty bell" lying on a green carpet. The architecture of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum combines the essence of ancient China and western architecture, solemn and simple, and unique.
2. ming tomb
Ming tomb is located at the foot of Mount Qomolangma, Dulongfu, at the southern foot of Zijinshan Mountain in Xuanwu District, Nanjing. It is adjacent to Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in the east and Meihua Mountain in the south. It is located in Zhongshan Scenic Area, and is the burial tomb of Zhu Yuanzhang and his queen. It was named "Xiaoling Mausoleum" because the empress Ma Shi posthumous title was a "filial high queen" and pursued filial piety to govern the world. Covering an area of1700,000 square meters, it is one of the largest imperial tombs in China.
