Choose new beans within one year, and the germination rate is high. In addition, before germination, first remove the damaged and moth-eaten mung beans.
2. Accelerating germination
Because mung bean skin is hard, cold water or warm water of 3-4 degrees can't foam mung bean skin, so it takes a long time for mung bean to germinate. I have tried many times myself, and I always find that some mung beans can't be soaked.
Later, under the guidance of the fat sister in the group, before soaking the mung beans, they were scalded with boiling water to accelerate germination. After 8 hours, it was found that all mung beans could be soaked.
However, scalding mung beans with boiling water is not boiling, just boiling them once. We can pour boiling water into the pot containing mung beans, and then stir the mung beans constantly, and the scalding time can be 1-2 minutes.
3. Soak
After scalding for 2 minutes, soak mung beans in warm water for 8-12 hours. Usually soak it before going to bed at night and soak it in the morning. You will find that most mung beans have sprouted.
At this time, if peeled mung beans or mung beans floating on the water are found, they need to be removed because they can't sprout.
4. Germination
Put the soaked mung beans into the germination tank and press the inner container on the mung beans. Spray water at least twice a day, and it is better to overflow the tank. Drain the water from the drain hole, cover it and put it in a dark place.
The suitable growth temperature of bean sprouts is 15~3 degrees. If the temperature is too high in summer, increase the watering times or take off the cover to cool down, so as to avoid mildew and rotten roots.
after each flush, cover it and put it in a cool and ventilated place. Bean sprouts need to grow in a dark environment, and they will be red and bitter when they see light.
Of course, if there is no germination pot, a clean and sterile leaking basket can also give out white and fat mung bean sprouts.
