2% ~ 3% of vegetable garden soil (or garbage soil, ditch mud, loam soil, stove foot soil).
sawdust (or fermented livestock manure, plant ash, chaff, etc.) is 7% ~ 8%.
soil cultivation requires loose soil, rich nutrition and moderate humidity (water content 15% ~ 2%). Simple determination method: grab a handful of soil by hand, knead it into a ball and let it go.
Before entering the pond, the prepared soil must be exposed to the sun, sterilized, treated with insect repellent, screened to remove impurities, and then put into the pond.
The reasonable soil thickness should be arranged according to the size of the larvae:
For 1-4 instar nymphs, the soil thickness is 7-1 cm;
5 ~ 8 instar nymph, the soil thickness is 16 ~ 2 cm;
9 ~ 11-year-old nymphs and adults, the soil thickness is 2 ~ 26 cm.
In summer, the feeding soil is thinner and thicker in winter. When feeding seed insects, the soil should be thicker, and when feeding commercial insects, the soil layer should be thinner.
