Furuncle is also called furuncle sore. Furuncle is an infection of purulent hair follicle and deep surrounding tissues of hair follicle. Carbuncle is a purulent infection of several adjacent hair follicles and their structures. The main pathogenic bacteria are staphylococci, which are caused by poor skin hygiene, increased seborrheic substances, trauma and high hormone levels.
