Flower mushroom is actually a kind of shiitake mushroom. However, it is very different from other varieties of shiitake mushrooms. On the top of its mushroom, it has large spots and lines. Other shiitake mushrooms usually do not have spots, or the spots are smaller. So you can tell if a shiitake mushroom is a flower mushroom by the size of the spots on the top of the mushroom.
Second, the difference in care
For the cultivation environment, the flower mushroom has much higher requirements than the general shiitake mushroom. Normally, it should be put in the environment of 8-18℃, and keep 60%-65% air humidity and 35%-45% plant material humidity. Otherwise it is difficult to survive. While the general shiitake mushroom does not have so many requirements for the environment, as long as it is in a warm, slightly humid environment, it will be able to grow.
Three, price difference
Flower mushrooms and general shiitake mushrooms also have a big difference in price. Usually the general fresh shiitake mushrooms can be sold for 5-8 yuan a catty, and the dried shiitake mushrooms can be sold for 30-40 yuan a catty. Flower mushrooms, on the other hand, are a bit more expensive. Usually fresh flower mushrooms, a catty can be sold to 12-20 yuan, and dried flower mushrooms, a catty can be sold to 60-150 yuan.
