Acorus gramineus is a perennial herb of Araceae and Acorus, and its rhizome has a smell. The leaves are whole, arranged in two rows, with spikes (Buddha flame), green pedicels and leaf-shaped Buddha flame. Rootstock is often used as medicine. It grows at an altitude of 20 meters to 2600 meters, mostly in the gap between water and stones in mountain streams or between running water and gravel in valleys (sometimes it grows outside the water surface).
