The story features five girls between the ages of 11 and 20 who observe the seemingly ordinary world through their eyes. It is a one-shot unit drama. The setting of the story is based on many places and things that do exist: the main characters live in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture (the author's birthplace), Hamamatsu Station, Lake Sasaki, a dairy farm's milk brand "Toda no Oishii Cow's Milk," the elementary school where Miu and the others go to school, and so on. However, the weather in Hamamatsu City is mild and snowfall is rare.

"Strawberry Marshmallow" (original Japanese name: Berry Mashimaro), also known as "Berry Throw" (the "Berry Mashimaro" on the logo resembles "Berry Throw"), is a serialized work by Japanese manga artist ばらスィー in the monthly magazine Comic Densetsu Daioh. It is a manga by Japanese manga artist BARASIL in the monthly magazine Comic Dengeki Daioh, and was originally an irregular series of illustration submissions, a moe manga in which "cuteness is justice". The manga was aired as a TV anime in July 2005 and adapted into a video game in August of the same year. The Chinese version of the manga is published by Kadokawa Taiwan.

Characters

Shin-Ei Ito Shin-Ei (伊藤 伸恵 (いとう のぶえ) voice actress: Hitomi Ikutome) A 20-year-old female short college student, type A. Her birthday is October 17 (the anime). Her birthday is October 17th (October 18th in the anime version). First serialized as a delinquent girl with long blonde hair, then cut short and dyed black, and is the object of admiration of the three little lolitas except for her younger sister Chika. She likes to smoke cigarettes (preferring Mild Seven Light and Seven Stars) and enjoys a beer after bathing. He has a tendency to be a bit of a lolicon, and is particularly fond of Jasmine and Anna. He has a knack for dealing with the hyperactive Miu.

Chika Ito Chika (いとう ちか) Voice actor: Sachiko Chiba)

12-year-old sixth-grader, type A, height 145 cm. Birthday is May 11th. She has a single-sided hairstyle. Shin Megumi's younger sister, with a personality that is considered relatively normal. She is characterized by her lack of features. She is often played with by her sister and her neighbor, Miu, whose punny jokes often make her double over in laughter. She is good at making sweets. Has a dog named Satake (looks like a Shiba Inu).

Miyu Matsuoka Miyu (松冈 美羽(まつおか みう) voice actress: Tomiko Ogasa)

A neighbor of Chikka's from the same year, B-type, 144 cm tall, with a birthday of September 8, she often runs straight through the window of her room and plays in Chikka's room (even when Chikka is doing her homework). Usually has a cute double ponytail look, but underneath her cute exterior she has an imp-like intelligence and wild fantasies. She is a hyperactive child and often makes nonsensical gestures. In terms of funny partners, Miu is the one who starts it and Chika is the one who spits it out (Miu's own words). Because she is an only child, she feels lonely inside and makes others pay attention to her by being funny or playing tricks on them, but she tends to overdo it and make other people angry. Somehow she understands some of the early special effects and otaku language.

Sakuragi Jasmine (桜木茉莉（さくらぎ まつり） voice actor: Ayako Kawasumi)

11-year-old fifth-grade student living near Ito's house, O-type, birthday is January 25th. She is introverted, shy, wears glasses, and is easily fooled (a good target for Shin Megumi and Miyu's pranks), and her body parts have already been seen by Shin Megumi and Miyu (in the first episode), and she has become a close friend of Anna, a British transfer student, and has been pushed to learn English, which is better than Anna's. She has a ferret named John, who is a good friend. Has a ferret named John.

Ana Coppola (アナ - コッポラ, Ana Coppola, voice actress: Noto Mamiko)

British in the same year as Jasmine, hometown is in Cornwell, England, born on June 18th, AB type. The older brother of the Ito sisters, who appeared in an occasional serial, but was not included in the one-shot. 18 years old.

Old Grandpa (voice actor: Yuichi Nagashima)

A hapless character who often watches the little strawberries from an unknown corner.
