Danshui City Street is built along the river, which is very watery and has the charm of Venice Water Capital.
Freshwater Fisherman's Wharf
Due to its dangerous terrain, Danshui Town has been a battleground for military strategists since ancient times, and as a result, Danshui Town has been subjected to the fate of alien domination. Once a bustling commercial port, it was famous for a while, but now it has ended up singing in the evening. The glory of the past can only be left in the memories of the older generation.

It is the earliest developed port in northern Taiwan Province and a small town full of history. The old name of Danshui Town is "Huwei", while "Danshui" is a general term, referring to the area of Danshui River Basin.
Lover's Bridge in Danshui
Generally speaking, tam shui refers to the area around Zhongzheng Road, including Sanmin Street and Reconstruction Street adjacent to it. There are some houses that partially retain the interesting old buildings in the old street, and there are many antique art shops, which shows its quaint flavor. Along the street, you can enjoy finely carved stone art, wood carving works and various decorative arts.
Snacks in Danshui are very popular
Snacks have long been a characteristic culture in Danshui, and Haifeng Restaurant and Rongyuan Live Fish in Zhongzheng Road have the longest history in seafood. Snacks are all-encompassing, such as fish ball soup at the ferry head, meat bag shop, iron egg shop, fried shrimp rolls, etc., which are mouth-watering. In addition, marble soda, egg ice, branch ice, sour plum soup, etc., which are full of traditional flavors, are the signature foods of tourists in the town. These delicious snacks can be tasted at the ferry pier, Zhongzheng Road and other places.
Second place: Love River
Love River originated from Bagua Liaochoutan in Renwu Township, Kaohsiung County, which is an irrigation channel for farmland; Love River flows through Zuoying, Sanmin, Gushan, Yancheng, Qianjin and Lingya, and flows into the first port of Kaohsiung Port. The mainstream is about 12 kilometers long and flows through Kaohsiung City for about 1.5 kilometers. It is the river of life in Kaohsiung City. There are three tributaries of the Love River: "Baozhugou"-the water comes from Xiadanshui River and flows into the Love River at the bottom of Aozi; "Sancuoxi"-it flows into the Love River from the third section of Sanmin District via Nanding Bridge in minzu road; and "Dagang River Canal"-which originates from the fifth section and flows into the Love River next to Qixian Bridge, but it was bent and straightened after recovery.
Love River was originally called "Dogging River", and Kaohsiung was called Dogging because of the bamboo culture of Makadao people in Pingpu. During the Japanese occupation period, the Japanese changed the name of Doggie to Kaohsiung in 192, and it was upgraded to Kaohsiung in 1924, so it was called "Kaohsiung River". Since the train from Keelung to Kaohsiung was opened to traffic in 198, the Japanese government began to build a port in three phases, so the locals also called it "Kaohsiung Canal".
After Taiwan's recovery, the government turned both sides of the canal into riverside parks, gradually attracting tourists to visit Aihe River. In 1948, Mr. Chen Jiangpan ran a rowing boat near Zhongzheng Bridge, and asked people to name it Love Boat House. One day, a typhoon blew down the signboard, leaving only the word love. At that time, there were lovers dying here, which was reported by journalists as "Love Story", which became the totem of Kaohsiung people's understanding of love, and gradually the name of Kaohsiung Canal went into history. In 1968, Mayor Yang Jinhu renamed Ren 'ai River for Mrs. Jiang's birthday. In 1992, City Councillor Chen Wuxun officially changed the name of Love River under the proposal of Parliament.
The flowing love river played a multi-functional role in transportation, transportation, recreation, etc. In her early years, many poets and poets sang praises for her, and many love stories were brewed here, which was full of romance and exuded humanistic atmosphere. Kaohsiung was once proud of her. Nowadays, the love river, which has gone through years and vicissitudes, has suffered from pollution, but Kaohsiung people who cherish her, including the government, private enterprises and artists, have made every effort to gradually restore the elegance of love.
After renovation, Love River gradually recovers its vitality, which is an important stronghold of ecological conservation in Kaohsiung, allowing people to observe the underwater ecology in the city; The barge dock, hedgerow planting, art lighting facilities, bicycle lanes, bridge beautification, etc. in Aihe River, the government also plans the water-loving space of rivers, and combines the artistic and cultural attractions, public construction and open space in the basin to create a landscape belonging to Kaohsiung Aihe River. Love River's renovation and decontamination project, which cost 4 billion yuan, has revived Love River step by step. Riverside parks on both sides of the river are tree-lined and interesting, and the street lights on the banks of the river at night are elegant and charming, and it is very interesting to walk.
transportation: take bus No.2, No.56, No.6, No.248 or Zhongnan Passenger Transport No.1 in front of Kaohsiung Railway Station.
third place: qijin coastal park
qijin is located at the southwest end of kaohsiung city, which is a narrow island with northwest-southeast trend. The early Qijin, known as the "Queen of the Flag", refers to the tribe behind Qishan. Later, in the fourth year of Qing Yongzheng (AD 1726), a map of Taiwan compiled by a Dutch missionary was called "Hanternas". In the tenth year of Xianfeng (AD 186), the British and French allied forces fought and signed the Beijing Treaty. Qijin became a trading port because of its good geographical position. A few years later, in the second year of Tongzhi (AD 1863), the Qihou area was officially opened, and it was the earliest developed area in Kaohsiung. Later, the Kaohsiung Municipal Government spent more than 5 billion yuan to build Qijin Marine Park, which is a good place for sightseeing and rest every year.
The most famous cultural relics on Qijin Island are Qijin ferry, tricycle, lighthouse and marine park. In the early days, all the external traffic in Qijin was mainly ferries. Now, with the cross-harbour tunnel, the traffic is much more convenient, and ferries have become a gimmick to attract tourists. In addition, the island retains the tricycle that was popular in the 195 s, so visitors can experience the fun of riding tricycles by their predecessors. Qijin Lighthouse, located on the top of Qijin Mountain, also known as Kaohsiung Lighthouse, was built in the 9th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty and is the second lighthouse on Taiwan Province Island. At that time, due to the frequent access of ships in Kaohsiung area, the government felt that the original port escort facilities were insufficient and shipwrecks often occurred, so it ordered the construction of Qijin Lighthouse for navigation. The lighthouse, which was rebuilt later, has an octagonal tower angle and a balcony for overlooking Kaohsiung Harbor. Qijin Marine Park covers an area of 45 hectares and can be divided into four areas: bathing beach, sea view trail, cross-country area and natural ecological area. In addition, there is a sea-watching platform supported by 15 pillars, which extends from the shore to the sea. Standing on the platform, you can personally experience the great power generated by the wave impact.
transportation: take bus No.1, No.31 and No.5 to the ferry head, then transfer to Qijin by ferry, and then walk north from Qijin ferry port according to the instructions for about 2 minutes.
Fourth place: Sun Moon Lake
Sun Moon Lake is a famous scenic spot in Taiwan Province, the only natural lake on Taiwan Province Island, and its natural charm is comparable to that of Hangzhou West Lake. The lake is 74 meters above sea level, with an area of 7.73 square kilometers, a circumference of 35 kilometers and an average water depth of 4 meters. There is an island in the pool called Zhuzaiyu, also known as Zhuzaishan, with an altitude of 745 meters. Taking this island as the boundary, the northern half lake is shaped like a round sun, and the southern half lake is shaped like a crescent moon, hence the name Sun Moon Lake.
Sun Moon Lake was originally two separate lakes. Later, due to the need of power generation, a dam was built downstream, and the water level rose, so the two lakes became one. There is an island in the pool, which looks like a bead floating on the water from a distance, so it is called Zhuzi Island, and now it is called Guanghua Island. Taking this island as the boundary, the northern half of the lake is shaped like a sun wheel, and the southern half is shaped like a first-quarter moon, hence the name Sun Moon Lake. The "Double Tanks and Autumn Moon", one of the eight scenic spots in old Taiwan, came from this.
The beauty of Sun Moon Lake lies in the mountains and peaks around the lake, the lake is vast and the water is clear. Throughout the year, the morning and evening scenery is different. The average temperature in July is not higher than 22 degrees Celsius, and it is not lower than 15 degrees Celsius in January. It is a refreshing and pleasant summer resort.
The Shuishe Mountain in Tandong is more than 2, meters high, with the morning glow and twilight, the reflection of the peak and the beautiful scenery. There is a Wenwu Temple in the north of Tanbei Mountain. From the front of the temple, you can have a panoramic view of the scenery in the pool. In the south of Qinglong Mountain, the terrain is steep, and there are several temples in the foothills, among which Xuanzang Temple worships the spiritual bones of Tang Xuanzang, a monk of the Tang Dynasty. There is a peacock garden on the west bank, with dozens of pairs of peacocks, which can perform and dance, making people more interested. In the settlements of Shao people in the southeast, there are folk song and dance performances for tourists to watch. Boating around the lake, floating around in the veil-like mist, is elegant and quiet, with a unique taste.
fifth place: Jiaoxi
Jiaoxi Township is a township-level administrative district in Yilan County, Taiwan, located in the north of Yilan County.
Jiaoxitai is pronounced as a' dry pit', which means a dry and water-deficient creek bed. In the 18th century, Jiaoxi Township was a settlement of KAVALAN people before the Han people entered the reclamation. In 1773, Lin Yuanyu, a brother from Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, led the reclamation into the highland near Qiwulan Port, and it was adjacent to Pingpu people. In 1796, Wu Sha led the people to reclaim from the south to the south. After 1798, the development and reclamation of Jiaoxi Tangwei (Deyang Village), Baishiwei (Baiyun and Yushi Village), Sanwei (Sanmin Village) and Siwei (Wusha Village) were successively completed. In 1812, Yilanna was painted into the territory of the Qing Dynasty and set up the Karmalan Hall. Jiaoxi Township was a Jiaoxi Village and was under the jurisdiction of Qiwulan Fort. In 1895, the Governor's Office of Taiwan Province adjusted its administrative area, and renamed Qiwulan Fort as Siwei Fort. In 192, it changed Siwei Fort to Jiaoxi Village, which was placed under the jurisdiction of Yilan County, Taipei. In 1946, it changed Jiaoxi Village to Jiaoxi Township. In 195, Yilan County established a county and included Jiaoxi Township.
Jiaoxi Hot Spring is a rare flat hot spring in Taiwan Province, which belongs to sodium bicarbonate spring. The spring color is clear and odorless, the pH value is about 7, and it is about 58℃ when it rushes to the surface. After washing, it is smooth, soft and not sticky. Because it is rich in mineral components such as sodium, magnesium, calcium, potassium and carbonate ions, it is very helpful for health whether it is soaked, bathed or treated as mineral water.
Sixth place: Bali Ferry Head
Bali Ferry Head is a ferry for early ancestors, and cross-strait exchanges have long relied on ferries as the only means of transportation. The Taipei County Government has also put forward the "Bali Ferry Head and River Bank Regulation Plan" specifically for Bali Township, which will bring the natural and cultural landscape resources of freshwater rivers and seas to Bali area as the best quality sightseeing, leisure and cultural paradise. Passing through the narrow alley, the famous snacks and delicacies at the alley mouth come to the wharf, and the old streets and squares with newly paved stones at the ferry head, the spacious space along the river bank, the artistic atmosphere, colorful lights, spacious spaces and cafes can be seen everywhere, enjoying the coffee fragrance leisurely. Tourists take the ferry to see the lights on both sides of Danshui, and they can see the glittering river, which is quite good.
The Bali Ferry Pier Barracks have been transformed into an interesting and lovely art and literature station, abandoned the idle old banyan blockhouses, featured with a small food street, and recorded the beauty of humanity with notes. Cross-strait ferries coming and going are also a good scene to expose the ship tracks at night.
It's very convenient to drive or take a ride during a one-day trip. Many shops in the park offer bicycles for rent, and enjoy riding bicycles for photography. I'll arrange a half-day trip for you, arrive at the ferry head at noon to have a rare tooth sacrifice-ice drops of coffee in the left bank club-sunset scenery in the left bank park-enjoy a romantic dinner at the ocean restaurant-and expose the Thirteen Lines Museum at night. You can also arrange a one-day trip in this way, and arrive in Guandu Temple for a cultural tour in the morning —— the Wanggong Bridge in Longmi Riverside Park —— a rare tooth sacrifice at the head of the ferry —— iced coffee in the left bank club —— the sunset scenery in the left bank park —— enjoying a romantic dinner —— the Thirteen Lines Museum at night.

Seventh place: Marine Life Museum
Taiwan Province Marine Life Museum claims to be the largest aquarium world in Southeast Asia, standing on the seashore of Houwan, and is planned to be divided into two parts: Taiwan Province Water Pavilion and Coral Kingdom Pavilion. In addition to its display and education functions, At present, the Taiwan Province Waters Museum, which is open, is mainly composed of several large aquarium tanks with vivid scenes, displaying the fish resources in Taiwan Province streams, lakes and ponds and inshore; The Coral Kingdom Pavilion, based on the coral reefs in the South China Sea, has four undersea tunnels, a sinking area and a cetacean pond.
The Taiwan Province Water Pavilion is arranged according to the water circulation process, with a magnificent waterfall at the entrance, which implies that the vast rivers and seas all start from the high mountains. Entering the museum, I first came to the mountain stream area.
In order, there are reservoirs with a water depth of 9 meters, densely populated estuaries of mangroves, oyster ponds, coral reef coasts, and the South Bay sub-tidal zone (with a water depth of 2-3 meters), in which all kinds of aquarium fish grow, and with the lifelike landscaping of dead wood, artificial waves and artificial corals, people can see the lifelike underwater world. Finally, we came to Dayang Pool, a giant aquarium filled with 1 million gallons of seawater. Through the huge viewing window, the sight of large and small schools of fish cruising and shuttling is as vivid as watching a movie.
In addition to the rich exhibitions, the buildings and surrounding facilities of the museum can also echo the marine theme. For example, in the whale hydrophilic square outside the hall, there are many giant whales cast in actual proportion, which spray water regularly.
8th place: Taipei 11 Building
Taipei 11, originally named Taipei Financial Center in the early planning stage, is a skyscraper located in Xinyi District, Taipei City, Taiwan Province. Designed by architect Li Zuyuan and built by KTRT team, it is the tallest skyscraper in the world (excluding antenna) and the second tallest building structure in the world (calculated by the actual height of the building structure).
According to the actual building height, Taipei 11 was surpassed by the Burj Dubai (located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates) which was built to the 141st floor on July 21st, 27. However, the Burj Dubai can only be regarded as a man-made building structure rather than a skyscraper until it is officially completed or at least some manufacturers and residents move in. Therefore, Taipei 11 can still temporarily retain the title of the world's tallest skyscraper until a new rival completes it and replaces it.
Although Taipei 11 is the world's most
