Ham was founded in the Jian Yan era of the Song Dynasty, with a history of more than 87 years. According to legend, when Zong Ze, a famous anti-gold star, returned to his hometown to visit relatives, the people in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province pickled the salted pork leg and Zong Ze dedicated it to the emperor. The Emperor named it "Ham" because it was as red as fire.
