"Spicy chicken" is one of the three famous foods in Zaozhuang (spicy chicken, vegetable pancakes, mutton soup). 20/kloc-in may, 2006, Zaozhuang was named as "the hometown of spicy chicken in China" by China Cuisine Association.
2. Spicy soup
Spicy soup is a unique snack breakfast, which is deeply loved by local people and is a "specialty" of Zaozhuang catering industry. In Zaozhuang, people are used to drinking this spicy soup all year round. I usually share it at breakfast, or soak in jiaozi, or eat fried dough sticks and steamed buns. Spicy soup tastes better.
3. Huanghua Beef Noodles
The main raw materials of Huanghua beef noodles are day lily, beef, beef bones and noodles. Select dried daylily, soak it in cold water for six or seven hours, wash it by hand, stroke it into a handle, and cut it into inches with a knife for later use. Soak and wash the lean meat of local adult cattle until it is clear, cut it into diced meat with the size of one square centimeter, fry it in an oil pan, and add seasoning to stew it thoroughly.
Wash and break the big bones of cattle, put them in a cold water pot and simmer 15 hours to make a milky broth. Fine-cut yellow flowers and stir-fried beef, with more than ten kinds of precious Chinese herbal medicines and seasonings with the functions of warming the stomach, warming the middle warmer, regulating qi and inducing resuscitation, are poured into the beef bone soup, and the soup, meat, vegetables and ingredients are stewed until they are completely blended, forming an oily but not greasy, thick and fragrant yellow flower beef soup.
