This product should be used only in patients whose indications have been fully confirmed by appropriate investigations. (e.g., serum ferritin, hemoglobin, erythrocyte pressure, red blood cell count, erythrocyte index-MCV, MCH, MCHC). Non-intestinal use of iron can cause de- potentially fatal anaphylactic or anaphylactoid reactions; mild anaphylactic reactions should be treated with antihistamines; severe anaphylactic reactions should be treated with immediate epinephrine. Special attention should be paid to the development of allergic or anaphylactic reactions in patients with bronchial asthma, low iron binding or folate deficiency. Patients with severe hepatic dysfunction, acute infections, a history of allergy, or chronic infections should be careful when administering this product. Hypotension can be triggered if this product is injected too rapidly. Beware of extra venous leakage. If extra venous leakage is encountered, the following steps should be followed: if the needle remains inserted. Cleanse with a small amount of 0.9% saline.
