Boluo Zhuanjing Town, at an altitude of 2,800 meters, is located at the intersection of Gansu, Qinghai and Xinjiang provinces (regions), on the alluvial plain at the foot of the Altyn Mountains, the most remote corner of Gansu Province, with almost no Sense of presence. The history of Boluo Zhuanjing is as confusing as the origin of its name. According to county records, "Boluo Zhuanjing" is a Mongolian homophone, meaning "green pier".
