About the author:
Luo (about 640~? ), a native of Yiwu, Wuzhou (now Zhejiang), was a writer in the Tang Dynasty. Together with Yang Jiong and Lu, they are called "four outstanding figures in the early Tang Dynasty".
At the age of seven, he was praised as a "prodigy" for his poem "Ode to Goose". He served as Xiancheng in Linhai, and later Xu Jingye rose up against Wu Zetian. After the defeat, his whereabouts were unknown, or he was killed by the rebels or fled into an empty door. His poems are magnificent, free and easy, full of fresh and elegant atmosphere, and have a good style, including Luo Linhai Collection.
