A crowd observation pointed out that long-term use of melatonin and sleep AIDS may be related to the increased risk of fracture.
Six taboos of melatonin use:
1. If extra melatonin supplementation is considered due to sleep disorder, it is best to seek medical advice to confirm the related hormone levels and the causes of sleep problems;
2. It is not recommended for pregnant women, children, nursing mothers and people with liver and renal insufficiency, because the related safety is unknown;
3. Do not use it for patients with low blood pressure or taking antihypertensive drugs. Melatonin has the effect of lowering blood pressure, which may interfere with the action of drugs;
4. Do not use it with sleep sedatives (central nervous system inhibitors), which may lead to excessive sleepiness;
5. Don't use it in combination with caffeine, because caffeine may reduce the level of melatonin in the body, and if used together, it will reduce the effect of the supplement;
6. Do not use it with hypoglycemic drugs or insulin, which may affect the efficacy of sugar control drugs.
