Fruit corn can be eaten.
Fruit corn is suitable for eating raw a super sweet corn, green stick stage skin thin, juicy, crisp and sweet, can be eaten directly raw, thin skin a bite to break, fragrant juice overflowing with teeth and cheeks, eat raw and cooked are particularly sweet, especially crunchy, like fruits, and therefore known as fruit corn.
Fruit corn selection:
(1) Look at the appearance, it must be bright green without yellow leaves, no dry leaves. It doesn't matter if there are a few aphids, but it's best not to have corn borer worms.
(2) Look for the flag leaves (leaves unique to fruit corn, small leaves on the cob) to be tender and green and upright. Do not wilt.
(3) At the stalk of the corn cob, look at the break for freshness; if it has a rusty appearance, it's definitely not fresh, and if it's blackened, that's more telling.
(4) look at the filaments (that is, corn husks), corn husks, bare on the outside, is dry. Slightly pull back a little bracts, see the inside of the filaments show inherent color (some green, some white), no wilting. Much less moldy.
(5) Look at the corn kernels. There is no collapse, full and shiny, gently pinched with a fingernail, able to splash water. If it is old, it will be dried out and collapsed, empty in the center.
(6) Try to eat fresh. If it is refrigerated, the taste and then the sugar will be a little worse.
