Perennial herbs, about 30-80cm tall, hairless. The stem is erect with branches on the upper part. The involucre is 5-6 mm long, cylindrical, with 2 layers, usually 5 outer layers, oval and extremely small; 8 pieces of inner layer, lanceolate, about 5mm long, back 1 tendon. The head only contains tongue-shaped flowers, yellow, 7-8 mm long, truncated at the top and 5 teeth. The flowering and fruiting period is June-July. Ilex pedunculata has many edible and medicinal values.
