Although Haibei Music's entry into the player market seems a bit abrupt, Haibei Music has been a partner of several well-known music player brands in China before, such as Cayin Kaiyin, Questyle, Hidizs, Shanling Ling and so on. Haibei Music provides music playback function for these brands of Android players, and with previous experience in playing apps on Android devices, there is no need to worry too much about software capabilities.
▲ Front and rear glass, stainless steel frame.
Hippy R6 Pro was upgraded from Hippy R6, using the same stainless steel frame and thick glass on the front, mainly changing the OP chip, amplifier chip and clock, and the balanced output was changed from the 2.5mm balance of R6 to a more reliable 4.4mm balance. In addition, due to the change of OP and power amplifier chip, the output has nearly doubled, which has a better match for headphones that need more power, especially for users with earmuffs.
▲ The bottom layer of the system is Android 8. 1.
As the core of Hipy R6 Pro, Snapdragon 425, which belongs to Qualcomm mobile platform, is equipped with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Although it is not a high-performance platform, this mobile platform provides the Android 8. 1 system for Hipy R6 Pro. 2.4G/5G dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth aptX, LDAC support and QC 3.0 fast charging are also enough to execute mainstream music playing software on the market.
Of course, the Android system of Hipy R6 Pro has also been readjusted. Compared with ordinary Android devices equipped with seashell music, many music-related settings are directly incorporated into the system settings. The version sold in Taiwan Province Province is equipped with the Play Store, and consumers can directly install other services through the Play Store. Of course, it shouldn't be a problem for Snapdragon 425 to execute some mobile games, but playing mobile games with Hipy R6 Pro is a bit overqualified.
▲ Provide 3.5mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced and line output/coaxial.
The core material related to audio, Hibbi R6 Pro, can be said to be all-powerful material. Its architecture has been calibrated at 45. 1584MHz and 49. 152MHz in advance, and then decoded with a single ES9028Q2M DAC, a single-ended 3.5mm earphone or Line Out. Two MUSE8920' s are used for IV conversion and SSM6322' s are used for LPF and amplifier output to 3.5mm single-ended. If used as line output, OPA 16 12 is used as LPF.
4.4mm balanced output is a duplicated single-ended circuit, that is, the left channel and the right channel are respectively output to two channels of ES9028Q2M for decoding, and the left channel and the right channel are respectively matched with two MUSE8920 for I/V. Finally, the LPF and earphone are amplified by SSM6322, so that the difference between single-ended and balanced output is 4 times, the single-ended output can reach 32 ohms, each channel is 245mW, and the balanced output can reach 750mW per.
▲ Hippy R6 Pro has side physical control keys.
Because the platform used is at least the mainstream quad-core processor in Qualcomm, the fluency of HiBy R6 Pro in basic operation and using music software is naturally not a problem, and the intuitive image-based music playing interface should not be too difficult for users who are used to touching instead of operating. For ES9028Q2M, Haibei also provides three different digital filtering settings, and also provides four timbres for switching: preset, monitoring, warm sound and imitation vacuum tube.
▲ The system presets four timbres.
▲ Digital filter mode
The nature of sound is slightly softer in neutrality, so it will sound a bit dull if it is paired with headphones with a cold bottom or a neutral tendency. Fortunately, the headphones mainly used this time, such as Westone W80 and BD headphone 5, are all types with more intermediate frequencies, but they don't sound too boring. However, if the Westone W80 is replaced by the general Westone black stranded wire, the sound performance will be too dry.
▲ Settings menu related to sound.
Thanks to the setting of large thrust, it is quite enough to drive most multi-unit in-ear headphones with low gain, and you can feel abundant energy. However, the author also thinks that HiBy R6 Pro with high driving force is not suitable for the initial headphones. On the one hand, it wastes its details, on the other hand, it is also worried that the large driving force will not only make the low battery life reach the physical dynamic limit, but also present uncomfortable sound pressure, and it is also possible to push some headphones out at one go.
▲ The music playing interface is similar to the version of Android Play Store.
Thanks to the ES9028Q2M as a DAC, HIPPY R6 Pro retains a wealth of information in the front end, and through a series of high-quality components and low-noise thrust, HIPPY R6 Pro is rich and full in timbre, and the texture of low and medium frequencies is not bad. However, in the tuning part, the overall timbre may be less emotional due to the low intermediate frequency, so players who like rough timbre need to pay more attention to the collocation of headphones and wires.
However, HiBy R6 Pro has a good sound performance, but the author found that the internal circuit design is poor in anti-interference or the wireless antenna position configuration is poor. When WiFi is on, Hipy? R6 Pro will have obvious current interference, especially when the 4.4mm balanced terminal is matched with low impedance and high sensitivity headphones. In order to have a better listening experience, I suggest turning off WiFi or filtering interference by matching impedance lines, which is a pity for HiBy R6 Pro.
In the part of accessory value, Haibei R6 Professional Edition supports USB DAC mode. HiBay R6 Pro can be used as a USB sound card as long as it is connected to a computer through a USB interface and the mode in the menu is checked. In addition, in addition to the general analog output, Line Out can also be converted into coaxial output with RCA interface, which is very suitable as the main body of digital turntable in terms of its DAC performance.
▲ HiBy R6 Pro single-ended line is less affected by radio interference.
The closest competitor of Hibbi R6 Pro should be A &;; K's KANN and HiBy R6 Pro have the advantages of dual DAC conversion in balanced mode, stable 4.4mm balanced output and pure Android system which is easy to expand the third-party streaming service, and the body thickness is also relatively thin, but in some cases, the signal interference of high-sensitivity headphones is a headache at present.
▲ Except that the line is easily disturbed, the overall performance is good.
According to the author's current experience, if HiBy R6 Pro is used with high-sensitivity in-ear headphones, it can consider using single-ended or impedance line to reduce the interference of balanced end, which can reduce the interference of the outlet design of high-sensitivity headphones. For users with high impedance earmuffs, there is relatively no need to worry about the interference of wireless signals, but it is still unknown whether this part will be corrected by subsequent software problems.
