Flavored rumsFlavored rums - these rums are rich in the flavors of fruits such as mango, orange, banana, citrus, coconut, lime, or popcorn. They usually have an alcohol content of less than 40 %.

Gold rumsGold rums - also known as amber rums, are aged in wooden barrels. They also have a stronger flavor than light rums.

Light rums - also known as "silver" or "white" rums - have a light flavor and are usually sweet. They are also often filtered after aging to remove the color.
