Putian * * * has two universities, namely Putian College and Meizhou Bay Vocational and Technical College, among which Putian College is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and the first batch of pilot units of the excellent doctoral education and training plan of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health.

Introduction of Putian University:

Putian College is a comprehensive public undergraduate university with science, engineering, literature, management, medicine and teaching, which is established with the approval of the Ministry of Education and led and managed by Fujian Province.

The school is located in Putian, the southeast coast of Fujian, beside the Gold Coast and Meizhou Bay. The campus covers an area of 1 17 1 mu, with a building area of over 400,000 square meters. There are 850,000 books, 2,252 domestic and foreign periodicals, Wanfang, China Journal Network and other online databases, and the total value of teaching instruments and equipment is more than 70 million yuan.

It has modern educational technology center (including computing center, audio-visual education center and network center), 9 training rooms, 2/kloc-0 computer rooms, 95 multimedia audio-visual classrooms, 8 interactive language laboratories, provincial electronic information experimental teaching demonstration center and medical basic experimental teaching center.

There are 135 laboratories such as the Nursing Experimental Teaching Center, as well as 2 affiliated hospitals, 27 teaching hospitals and 15 practice hospitals. There are Management College, Medical College, China Language and Literature Department, Mathematics Department, Foreign Language and Literature Department, Environment and Life Science Department, Electronic Information Engineering Department, Civil Engineering Department, Physical Education Department, Art Department and Social Science Department.

There are 12 teaching colleges and departments such as Adult Education College, and 9 research institutes such as cardiovascular, orthopedics, oncology, translation, tourism development and planning, higher education and sports science. There are 0/024 faculty members and 688 full-time teachers, including 248 professors and associate professors, and 306 teachers with doctoral and master's degrees.

At the same time, more than 20 domestic senior professors and foreign teachers are hired to teach in our school every year. The school aims at cultivating high-quality applied talents and directly serves local economic construction and social development.

It enrolls students from 20 provinces and cities across the country, with about 1.3 million ordinary full-time students.
