Mr. Carrot was often worried about his beard because he had a thick beard that he had to shave every day.
One day, Mr. Carrot shaved his beard in a hurry and went out into the street with a marmalade bread. Because he was nearsighted, he didn't notice that he had missed shaving a beard. This beard grew on the right side of his chin, and when Mr. Carrot ate the jam bread, his beard got covered with sweet jam. What good nourishment jam is for a beard!
So as Mr. Carrot took one step at a time, the beard grew longer and longer. You only have to look back to see how long Mr. Carrot has walked to see how long this beard of Mr. Carrot has grown.
Mr. Carrot continued walking, his long beard blown behind his body by the wind, completely unaware of it.
A long way down the street, a boy was flying a kite, and the string was so short that his kite could only fly over the roof.
Mr. Carrot's mustache just happened to be fluttering in the wind. "The string is long enough, I just don't know if it's strong enough." The boy tugged on his beard as he finished speaking, and when he was sure the string was strong enough, he cut a piece for the kite.
Mr. Carrot continued on his way, and as he walked under the tree at Mrs. Bird's house, Mrs. Bird was looking for the string to dry her bird's diapers.
Mr. Carrot's beard just happened to be fluttering in the wind.
