The method of the Youth League is to put tender wormwood and Muggle grass into a large pot, add lime, steam them, remove lime water, knead them into glutinous rice flour, make bright green dough, pick out dough weighing about 75g each, knead them into strips, flatten them one by one, wrap them with stuffing such as bean paste, knead them together, and knead them into balls. Spread a wet cloth in the cage, put the green balls into the pot, steam for about 15-20 minutes until cooked, and then rub some sesame oil on the green balls.
2. Method 2
Add a little water to barley green and put it in a blender to make green juice. Wheat green juice (or green edible plants such as wormwood, ryegrass and Malantou) is added with a little salt and boiled in a pot to remove astringency. Mix the green juice with glutinous rice flour while it is hot and knead it into dough. Divide the dough and bean paste into equal portions. Wrap the bean paste in the dough, knead it into a circle, put it in a steamer with an oil brush or zongzi, and steam for about 20 minutes.
