Difference in composition content
Honeysuckle contains chlorogenic acid and luteolin. According to Pharmacopoeia 20 15, chlorogenic acid content should not be lower than 1.5%, and luteolin content should not be lower than 0. 10%.
Honeysuckle also contains chlorogenic acid, the content of which is higher than that of honeysuckle, and the chlorogenic acid should not be less than 2%. Luteolin was not detected in the standard of honeysuckle pharmacopoeia.
Different producing areas
The main producing areas of honeysuckle are Longhui and Xupu in Hunan, Xiushan and Pengshui in Chongqing, Xingyi and Zunyi in Guizhou, Nanjiang in Sichuan and Mashan in Guangxi. The contents of chlorogenic acid, isochlorogenic acid and volatile oil are more than twice as high as those of other kinds, and their medicinal activities are strong.
The origin of honeysuckle mainly comes from Pingyi, Shandong, Xinxiang, Henan and Julu, Hebei.
