The jade bald fish, also known as tongue sole, is a fish of the tongue sole family tongue sole genus, distributed in the western North Pacific Ocean, also known as the emperor fish in southern Fujian language, sand bald fish scientific name is the Yellow River carp, is a carp fish.

The jade bald fish body is laterally compressed, tongue-shaped, body length of about 25-40 centimeters, weight of about 500-1500 grams, scales are larger, no pectoral fins, caudal fins pointed, while the sand bald fish body is elliptical, laterally compressed and long, the length of the body is in the 20-30 centimeters or so, the mouth is large and rounded, the scales are many and fine, silvery-white, and there are black spots on the body.
