The Huaiyang Canal refers to the section of the river from Huai 'an City (the intersection of the Grand Canal of China and the ancient Huaihe River) to Yangzhou City (the intersection of the Grand Canal of China and the Yangtze River) in Jiangsu Province, with a total length of more than 170 kilometers.
Huaiyang Canal is an important part of China's Grand Canal, a world cultural heritage. It is an artificial canal, which was dug in 486 BC. Huai 'an section of Huaiyang Canal and Yangzhou section of Huaiyang Canal are both rivers listed in the Heritage List, and there are heritage sites 15 along the coast.
