Ireland is an EU country.

Ireland (Irish: ?irinn, English: Ireland) is a parliamentary and democratic country in Western Europe. It is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, the Irish Sea to the east, and the United Kingdom across the sea. It is North America. As a gateway to Europe, Ireland's natural environment has been maintained quite well. It is known as the "Emerald Island", with trees and rivers crisscrossing the country.

Ireland is a highly developed capitalist country. It is also a member of the European Union, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the World Trade Organization and the United Nations. It is also one of the countries with the fastest economic development in the world, and has won the reputation of "Europe's Little Tiger" due to its developed economy.

Climate characteristics
