Relatively monotonous, pineapple fish is one of the large-scale spawning tropical fish species, with a large body, up to 20 cm in length, big eyes, slightly reddish yellow-green luster, small mouth, red spots at the mouth end, dark horizontal stripes from the end of dorsal fin to the tail, and similar pineapple pattern in the longitudinal direction. It is not suitable to keep one pineapple fish. The body color of pineapple fish is changeable, changing into light yellow, bronze and olive green with age, and the male fish is more colorful than the female fish.
