How to make steamed red date and yam cake
Ingredients: 50 grams of yam, 5 red dates, and 1 egg.
Supplementary food: a few drops of oil.
Steps:
Ingredients preparation
Peel the red dates, peel and cut the yam into pieces, add the egg yolk, and beat into a paste with a food processor. If you feel that it cannot be beaten dry, you can add a little water appropriately
The beaten paste will have no particles or flakes of red jujube skin.
Put oil paper in the steaming bowl and apply some baby food oil to prevent sticking.
Pour the paste into a steaming bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, poke some small holes in the plastic wrap with a toothpick, and steam in cold water for 25 minutes.
Let the steamed cake cool and cut into small pieces, suitable for babies to hold. Can be frozen and reheated before eating.
It melts in the mouth, and babies love it~
Tips for red date and yam steamed cakes
I haven’t added protein to my baby yet. Only egg yolks were used. No flour was added either. Whether the steamed cake can be shaped to look good or not, the proportion of yam is the key. Steaming time is also important. Don't be in a hurry to take out the steamed cake. Simmer for another five minutes. Let cool before unmolding and cutting into pieces. It won't fall apart this way.
