This only local people know ~ ~ "broken kernel" is because of making kernel and hand-distributed pecans out of the broken material ~ ~ sorted out for sale ~ ~ so cheap ~ ~ a part of the large amount of sugar can be used to stick to the large kernel ~ ~ too much volume will be sold cheaply ~ ~ because too much broken kernel in the hickory kernel quality declined!
