What is hyperlipidemia?
Hyperlipidemia refers to the high level of blood lipid, which is the general name of cholesterol, triglyceride and lipid in human serum. The increase of cholesterol and triglyceride in serum is called hyperlipidemia. Abnormal blood lipids can be found in serum during laboratory tests.

Cholesterol and triglycerides are not hydrophilic and cannot be transported directly in the blood. They can only be transported in the blood after binding with apolipoprotein. Clinically, lipoprotein is examined, and various lipoprotein abnormalities are seen on the laboratory sheet, which represent abnormal cholesterol and triglycerides, which is called hyperlipidemia.
