On November 15, 2019, "Black Adam" was announced along with the release of a concept art set poster created by DC Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee in association with Bosslogic.

January 2021, the film released the rice-making makeup photos; April 1 news, the new DC film "Black Adam" starring Julius Johnson was announced to be slated for a July 29, 2022 North American release; in October, the film revealed the pilot trailer.
