Characteristics of Moutai Wine
Moutai Wine has been known throughout the world for its prominent soy sauce aroma, mellow and thick body, elegant and delicate, long aftertaste, pure and comfortable, harmonized and full-bodied taste, fragrant but not colorful, retaining its fragrance in an empty glass, and not getting a headache after drinking it, and it has been known as China's national wine.
It is made from high-quality sorghum and top-quality wheat. It is fed on the occasion of the Chung Yeung Festival every year, and utilizes the unique climate, excellent water quality and suitable soil of Moutai Town, and adopts distinctive processes such as high-temperature quenching, piling up, steaming, and light-watering into the pool. The wine is then aged for a long period of time after two feedings, nine distillations, eight fermentations, and seven wine pick-ups. The alcohol content is mostly between 52 and 54 degrees, which is a good example of Chinese saucy liquor.
