Sesame growth cycle

Sesame can be planted in spring and summer. The best sowing date is around May-June, but not later than July. This plant is suitable for growing in a warm and humid environment with fertile soil. The pH value of soil is preferably 6.5-7.5, and the most suitable growth temperature is 24-32. There should be enough sunshine during the growth process, and the growth period of plants is 90- 100 days.

Sesame varieties and producing areas

Sesame originated from Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau in China.
