Baby's normal monthly growth weight
It is normal for a baby to grow a few kilograms a month, which is related to the weight at birth and the corresponding age group, and there are great differences among individuals. The full-term baby's birth weight is about 3 kg. In the first 3 months, the baby grows rapidly, gaining about 200 grams per week, and the weight at 3 months is twice that at birth.
The weekly growth rate is about 150g in 4-6 months, and the growth rate is gradually slow. Babies of 6-9 months grow about 120g per week, and babies of 9- 12 months grow about 90g per week. Therefore, when the baby reaches 1 year, it is about three times the birth weight, four times at the age of two and four times at the age of three. After the age of two, the average baby grows about 2 pounds a year until puberty.
