LETTUCE PLANT PROPERTIES
LETTUCE is a young stem variant of the genus Lettuce in the family Asteraceae, also known as lettuce, stem lettuce, lettuce, and so on. There are two types of pointed leaves and round leaves, and there are white shoots, green shoots and purple shoots. Native to the Mediterranean coast, it is cultivated throughout China.
LETTUCE LOOKS LIKE
LETTUCE roots are straight, stems erect and solitary, arranged in panicles at the tip. Involucral bracts ovoid at fruiting stage, outermost involucral bracts broadly triangular, middle layer lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, inner layer linear-long elliptic, all involucral bracts apically acute, outside glabrous.
LETTUCE LEAF MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Lettuce basal leaves are large, oblanceolate, apically acute, base cordate, lower leaves of inflorescence and leaves of the branches are very small, ovate-cordate, with the basal margin entire.
LETTUCE ROOTS LOOKS LIKE: Lettuce is a taproot system, and when transplanted, it produces most lateral roots, shallow and dense, mainly in the 20-30 cm soil layer.
