Maimendong decoction comes from synopsis of the golden chamber and consists of seven liters of Maimendong, one liter of Pinellia ternata, three portions of ginseng, three portions of licorice, two portions of japonica rice and twelve pieces of jujube. Commonly used for chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, chronic pharyngitis, silicosis, tuberculosis, etc. It can also be used for treating gastric and duodenal ulcer, chronic atrophic gastritis, and vomiting during pregnancy. It belongs to deficiency of stomach yin and vomiting due to adverse qi.
