The Nutritional Pyramid (also known as the Food Guide Pyramid, the Nutritional Pyramid, the Balanced Diet Pyramid, the Food Pyramid, etc.) is a man-made golden triangle shaped like a pyramid that was made to respond to a person's physiological characteristics. The pyramid (also called "food guide pyramid", "nutritional pyramid", "balanced diet pyramid", "food pyramid", "diet pyramid", etc.) is an artificially created pyramid-like shape made in response to the physiological characteristics of the human body and made of a golden triangle.
In order to guide people to rational nutrition, the Chinese Nutrition Society has proposed a food guide, which is figuratively called the "4+1 Nutritional Pyramid" (i.e. "Nutritional Pyramid")." 4+1" means that the daily diet should include four food groups, namely, "grains and legumes", "vegetables and fruits", "milk and milk products", and "poultry, meat, fish and eggs".
Healthy eating plan
Many people take diet pills, eat some fad diets, are determined not to eat certain foods, eat specific foods, and so on. With all the crazy diet advice out there, how do you even remember the basics of healthy eating? When it comes to nutritional healthy eating, the USDA's food pyramid can give you a framework for healthy eating and guidelines for good nutrition.
The food pyramid hasn't changed drastically over the years, but there have been some tweaks. The new food pyramid gives the concept of food groups and healthy and nutritious food combinations:
One of the changes is a slight increase in the recommended number of servings of fruits and vegetables. Women need to eat at least seven servings of fruits and vegetables a day, while men need to consume at least nine servings. Sandra Meyerowitz, a dietitian in the US, says: "We just know that fruits and vegetables contain a lot of good things, like essential nutrients and fiber. But with so many fad diets in vogue today, people seem to have forgotten that carbohydrates are also essential components of a healthy diet."
