Jiangmen, located in the southwest of the Pearl River Delta, governs five cities including Taishan, so it is also called Wuyi. As a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Guangdong, it is rich in tourism resources. Kaiping Diaolou and Liyuan, Shangchuan Island, Xiachuan Island, Bird of Paradise, Yamen Ancient Battlefield, Dayan Moutain, Guifeng Mountain, Jinshan Hot Springs and Liang Qichao's former residence are all famous scenic spots in Jiangmen.

Kaiping Diaolou and Liyuan: Located in Kaiping City, they have been included in the World Cultural Heritage List. Kaiping Diaolou (see Figure 8-7) is a multi-storey tower building with defensive and residential functions, which combines Chinese and western architectural arts. Known as "a model of overseas Chinese culture."

There are more than 65,438+0,800 bunker buildings registered by the government, the most representative of which are the bunker complex in Gigi Lai Village, Ying Long Building in Chikan Town and Ruishi Building in Qigang Town. Liyuan is a garden villa built by Xie Weili, an overseas Chinese who lived in the United States for ten years. Relying on the Grand View Garden depicted in A Dream of Red Mansions, the Garden is eclectic among the classical garden buildings in China, integrating the characteristics of villa buildings popular in Europe and America at that time, realizing the integration of Chinese and Western cultures, and having the reputation of "small view garden".

Shangchuan and Xiachuan Island: Located in Taishan City, it is a famous seaside tourist resort in Guangdong. Shangchuan Island and Xiachuan Island are sunny all the year round, with large beach area and good sand quality. Coconut trees form forests by the sea, and the natural scenery and seascape wonders are fascinating; Surfing in the water and camping on the beach are an ideal tourist destination with endless fun.
