The green昌鱼, belonging to the order Scleractinia, order Perciformes, family Pomfretidae, contains the mirror fish, flatfish, whitechang, pomfret flake fish and so on. The body is short and tall, extremely laterally compressed and slightly diamond-shaped. The head is small, the muzzle is round, the mouth is small, and the teeth are fine. Ventral fins disappear in adult fish. The caudal fin is quite y forked and the lower lobe is longer. The body is silvery white, slightly greenish gray in the upper part. Feeds on crustaceans and other animals. Pomfret is a small to medium-sized fish of both food and ornamental value in the tropics and subtropics.
