Alexander the Great (Alexander III of Macedonia, Alexander the Great, July 20th, 356 BC-June 30th, 323 BC, 10) was born in Pyla, the capital of Macedonia. He studied under Aristotle, a famous ancient Greek scholar. He became a monk with his father at the age of eighteen and succeeded to the throne at the age of twenty. He is the greatest military genius in European history and the most famous conqueror of Macedonian Empire. He made outstanding achievements, was brave and good at fighting, led the conscription work in Eurasia and Africa, and spread the ancient Greek civilization widely. He is the most famous strategist and politician in ancient world history.
