1, fertilization and soil preparation
In summer and autumn, the temperature is high and the climate is hot, so it should be planted in a cool, ventilated and humid environment. Before sowing, base fertilizer should be applied about 7 ~10 days, and decomposed animal manure can be applied. After fertilization, deep ploughing is needed to level the ground to make the soil more loose and fertile.
2, sowing seeds
Pay attention to the spacing when sowing in summer, too dense sowing will lead to plant growth in vain. If the sowing is too sparse, the cabbage seedlings will be burned because of their fragility and the growth rate will slow down under the hot sunshine. It is best to plant about 1.5 kg of Chinese cabbage seedlings in an acre of field.
3. Soak and dry
Before sowing, the seeds should be soaked in clean water for two hours, and then wrapped with wet cloth after being taken out and dried, and will germinate when placed in a warm place indoors 1 day. Spread the dried seeds evenly on the soil, compact the soil with a rake and start watering.
4. Water in time
When the climate is hot in summer and autumn, it is necessary to provide more water for planting Chinese cabbage. The evaporation rate of water will be faster when the temperature is high, and the root system of seedlings is shallow and fragile. If there is insufficient water in the soil, it will lose too much water and cause withering. Timely watering can also reduce the soil temperature.
