What are the living habits of blind eels?
The blind eel is a primitive fish with no jaws, and its total length is nearly 1 m. They generally live at a depth of 100 meters below the sea surface and feed on the carcasses of small crustaceans and various fishes. Blind eel's teeth are like rows of combs, which can scrape the meat off its prey. Blind eels are related to lamprey, but unlike lamprey, blind eels don't attack live fish. Sometimes they get into the body of a big fish and eat all the meat, leaving only the skin and bones outside.
