What do you mean by stock suspension?
The simplest statement of stock suspension is "a stock temporarily stops trading". So how long will it take to stop? Some stocks will resume trading after suspension 1 hour. Some stocks have been suspended for more than three years and may continue to be suspended. The recovery time depends on the reason for the pause.
1. What are the reasons for the stock suspension?
1. Release major events: company (performance) information disclosure, clarification of major impact events, shareholders' meeting, share reform, asset restructuring, merger and reorganization, etc. If the suspension of trading is caused by major events, the time is not exactly the same, and it shall not exceed 20 trading days at the latest. If you need to know a very serious problem, it may take an hour. The shareholders' meeting is actually a transaction. Their asset restructuring, mergers and acquisitions are more complicated, and the suspension time may take several years.
2. Abnormal fluctuation of stock price: When the stock price fluctuates continuously and abnormally, for example, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange stipulates that the daily closing price has deviated by 20% for three consecutive trading days, trading will be suspended 1 hour, and trading will be resumed around 10: 30.
3. The company's own reasons: the suspension time is closely related to the company's alleged illegal trading events. 12 suspension is a good phenomenon, only 3 is a bad thing.
2. How long will the stock be suspended?
1. Routine suspension: after the market opens in the morning of each trading day, the trading will be suspended 1 hour and resumed at 10: 30 in the morning.
2. Technical suspension: Technical suspension usually refers to the temporary suspension and suspension of trading of listed companies' shares. This kind of pause often has no unified pause time standard. The suspension time is often between 1 day and 1000 days, or even longer.
3. The reasons for technology suspension are generally listed companies' plans to reorganize, listed companies' plans to distribute special dividends, and listed companies' plans to issue shares to raise funds.
4. It should be reminded that stocks cannot be traded when they are suspended, but they can be suspended. If the suspension is temporary, and there are transactions on that day, the list can take effect.
