Located in Xuyi County of Qin Dynasty, it is a place of "two acres of cultivated land, one acre of mountain, one acre of water and one acre of beach". Its long history and regional comprehensiveness have created the unique cultural characteristics of Xuyi, and the lobster festival can be said to be the inheritance and innovation of Xuyi folk customs. For this festival, Xuyi people are different from ordinary vendors selling lobster agricultural products, but are trying to promote a culture, and the organic combination of its culture and commodities has formed a resounding brand of "Xuyi Lobster".
In Shuo Wen Jie Zi, the lobster festival is explained in this way: open your eyes to see what it is, look straight, have a broad vision and have a long-term vision. Just like these two words, Xu Yi people seem to have inherited this spiritual connotation. There is a stone in front of Xuyi International Lobster Festival Square, engraved with the lobster spirit: all corners of the country, prosperous for life. This is also the expression of the new annotation added by Xuyi people to Xuyi spirit on the basis of inheritance.
